This village is the border of Thrissur and Malappuram districts, and is also very close to Palakkad district. This temple dedicated to Lord Sreerama is known for the famous Vedic contest called ‘Anyonyam’ that is held there every year. The twenty nine wooden bracket figures on the outer wall of the Srikovil of the Vishnu temple and other works of art in the same shrine are considered historically important, and it is an ASI protected monument. The temple square on plan belongs to the Kerala architectural style of thirteenth century.
