Mallankuzhi is a small perennial stream and waterfall located in Kadangode panchayath. The place has large foot impression like depressions which is said to be that of a tribal inhabitant called Mallan giving the place its name. it is said that sage Agastya took an idol of  Lord Vishnu from a pond and consecrated the nearby Lord Sreerama Temple at Vellarakkad.
