This waterfall is located inside the Kandanchira Reserve Forest in Cheruchakkichola near Chittanda. The place also has a Goddess Karthiyayani Temple which is one among the one hundred and eight shrines consecrated by Lord Parasurama. The falls is a small one, but the atmosphere is calm and serene with a check dam. Post monsoon (June to October) is the best time to visit the place. The place is associated with a tribal chief Poongodan and his daughter Cheru Chakki, which gave the place its name. The waterfall is located midway on the forest tract towards the watch tower.


  • The waterfall is located about 40 km from Thrissur. Chercuchakki Chola can be accessed from Chittanda which can be accessed from Wadakkancheri – Kunnamkulam Road. One has to trek to reach the waterfalls.
