Pattathippara Falls is a cascade waterfall located in Pananchery Village Panchayath.  This waterfall is located in the Pattikkad range and is accessible from Mudikkode. It involves a short trek through estates. The waterfall is three-tiered but appears in rainy seasons as a single fall. As per folklore, a ‘pattathi’ (a Brahmin lady) came to this place to collect firewood and fell off from the rocks and died and the place came to be called Pattathippara. The waterfall is best enjoyed from June to December. The falls originate from the Vellani Hills and it is possible to travel safely from the top of rocks and reach beneath the waterfalls.

The entry into waterfalls area blocked since it's inside the reserve forest. Unauthorized entry will attract imprisonment of 1 to 5 years and up to ? 5000 as fine.
