We recommend you to read this section when you plan to visit Thrissur.

There is no limit to the amount of foreign currency a tourist can bring to Thrissur.

In Thrissur, you can easily exchange foreign currencies at the banks. However, we recommend you to keep some amount of money in Rupee currency for any unforeseen emergency.

The banks will operate from 9:30am to 4 pm (IST). Sunday, Second Saturday and Fourth Saturday are holidays.

All major credit cards are accepted in main hotels, restaurants and shopping centers.

We also recommend you to carry cotton outfits, sunglasses, hats etc.

The city has reported very less crime rates and fewer endemic diseases. The city also has a great Health care system run by both government and private entities.
However, we recommend you to keep a copy of your proof documents like passport and keep them separate from originals. Carry the copies with you when you travel inside Thrissur.

Almost all major trains passing through the region halts at the Thrissur railway Station. You can reach Thrissur from any part of India.
